Project Architect

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented recent architecture graduate 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic architecture firm in Mumbai. The successful candidate will have a passion for design excellence, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Education and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.- 3 - 5 years of experience in architectural design. Site experience is a plus.-

Excellent design and visualization skills.- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail in producing construction documents.- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders.- Professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.- Knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, and materials.- Experience in producing detailed construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, regulations, and industry standards.- Ability to oversee and coordinate the work of consultants, such as structural engineers, MEP engineers, and landscape architects.

Responsibilities

The following are key responsibilities but not limited to

- Professionally represent SSA and adhere to office policies.- Ensure projects meet SSA's Quality Assurance, applicable codes, and CAD standards.- Presentations and documentation of various ongoing and past projects.- Translate design concepts into construction documents.- Coordinate subconsultant work and deliverables, maintain meeting notes, and assist in preparing and monitoring project designs, schedules, and budgets.- Communicate with clients, general contractors, and consultants on project-related issues and maintain meeting notes.- Integrate and coordinate all building support systems into the building design.- Assist with tender document preparation, construction administration, and project coordination duties.- Attend project team meetings and construction meetings and provide on-site observations to ensure design intent, quality, and client expectations are met.- Monitor and track budgeted hours for each project, escalating issues/concerns to the Project Manager or principal when necessary.- Create and follow through on project work plans, produce work efficiently within designated hours, and provide directions and prepare sketches and details to subordinates.- Prepare cartoon sets prior to starting projects, maintain and expand professional capabilities, and review and validate the scope of services provided by sub-consultants.- Supervise or mentor internship candidates, assist Sr. Architects and Project Managers with the project work plans, and prepare and maintain folder management systems.
