You’ll deploy and operate OneAgent/ActiveGate at scale, integrate cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Kubernetes/OpenShift), implement Monitoring-as-Code, and drive reliable, data-informed operations through advanced dashboards, SLOs, and automated alerting. You’ll partner closely with platform, SRE, and application teams to create a paved road for highly observable services. Key responsibilities Platform implementation and operations Design/operate Dynatrace SaaS/Managed architecture, ActiveGate topology, RBAC, tagging, management zones Standardize OneAgent rollouts (VMs, containers) and Dynatrace Operator on Kubernetes/OpenShift Integrate cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and managed services via cloud integrations Visibility and analytics Define tagging taxonomies and management zones aligned to teams and environments Build advanced dashboards (DQL/Data Explorer), SLOs/SLIs, and business-event views Implement RUM (web/mobile) and Synthetic monitors (HTTP/Browser/private locations) Alerting and incident flow Configure Davis AI, Metric Events, anomaly detection, and alerting profiles Reduce noise with correlation/dedup; wire problem notifications to ITSM/ChatOps (ServiceNow, Slack/Teams, webhooks) Engineering enablement Deliver Monitoring-as-Code (Monaco) projects with CI/CD promotion across environments Provide golden templates, onboarding guides, and runbooks; conduct enablement with app teams Reliability and compliance Establish SLO reporting and error budgets; lead post-incident reviews using Dynatrace data Govern tokens/secrets, data privacy (RUM/logs), and audit requirements Must have (skills and experience) 4+ years in SRE/Platform/Observability roles with deep, hands-on Dynatrace experience Proven success deploying and operating: OneAgent/ActiveGate at scale (Linux/Windows, VMs/containers) Dynatrace Operator on Kubernetes/OpenShift Cloud integrations (AWS CloudWatch/EKS, Azure Monitor/AKS) Strong Monitoring-as-Code (Monaco v2): manifests, environments, promotion via CI/CD Building dashboards (DQL), SLOs/SLIs, metric events, alerting profiles, problem notifications RUM and Synthetic Monitoring rollout and governance Solid automation and scripting: Git, REST APIs, YAML/JSON, Bash/PowerShell (Python a plus) Practical understanding of reliability practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, golden signals Nice to have Dynatrace certifications (Associate/Professional), Extensions 2.0 development OpenTelemetry interop and trace/metrics/logs pipeline experience ITSM/ChatOps integrations (ServiceNow, Slack/Teams) with correlation and auto-close strategies IaC/automation: Terraform, Ansible; container platform expertise (EKS/AKS/OpenShift) Data privacy and compliance for RUM/logs; token/secret lifecycle management Performance engineering: profiling, load testing, capacity planning Tools and platforms you’ll use Dynatrace SaaS, OneAgent, ActiveGate, Dynatrace Operator, Monaco, DQL AWS/Azure (EKS/AKS/EC2/VM), OpenShift/Kubernetes, Helm GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps, Terraform/Ansible, ServiceNow, Teams Bash/PowerShell; Python preferred for API automation Day-to-day outcomes A consistent landing zone for Dynatrace with clear governance and self-service onboarding Actionable dashboards and SLOs tied to business outcomes and customer journeys Right-sized alerting that accelerates response and reduces fatigue Repeatable Monitoring-as-Code patterns integrated into platform pipelines
