Job DescriptionThe Active Directory Specialist supports, secures, and enhances the Microsoft Active Directory related technologies in the enterprise environment. Responsibilities include:Be self-motivated with a proactive mindset

24/7 operational support of 42 domain controllers hosting 10 AD domains

Perform security enhancement changes in Group Policy and the OS layer following Change Control procedures according to the industry standard ITIL framework

Actively engage in a multi-year migration project to the global platform

Work closely with other project members as well as the larger Technology department in Japan and the larger global organization

In the next 24 months, the role will transition from support of local Active Directory to cloud service authentication and support of web based account provisioning toolsets

Requirements Technical Skills:Experienced at least 3 years as an Active Directory Engineer in an Enterprise Environment

Working knowledge of the ITIL Foundation framework

Take a proactive approach to troubleshooting

Adhere to the principles of continuous process improvement

Working knowledge of industry-standard security best practices

Technical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and the Windows Server Operating System

Key Accountabilities:Zero change-related Active Directory service disruptions

Improve security posture of AD

Smooth account migration project completion

Specific Activities:Plan and execute AD changes with minimum service disruption

Improve the security ratings of AD systems

Successful completion of AD migration initiatives within project deadlines

Non-Technical Competencies:Project management and execution experience a plus

Ability to think strategically and see the big picture

Understanding the difference between a short-term tactical fix and a long-term strategic solution

Professional manner and business level English communication skill

Business level Japanese language skill preferred

Perseverance under pressure

Can innovate have a growth mindset

A sense of problem ownership and personal accountability

Willingness to work flexible hours
