Database Migration Architect

We are looking for a highly experienced Database Migration Architect (AWS) to lead the end-to-end database migration and modernization initiatives within our banking and financial services technology landscape. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture, database services, and banking systems (especially core banking), along with a hands-on approach to solutioning and implementation.Responsibilities:Design and implement large-scale database migration strategies from legacy systems (Oracle, SQL Server) to AWS-native solutions (Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).Lead cloud modernization initiatives for core banking platforms, digital banking channels, and enterprise data platforms.Conduct migration assessments, technical workshops, and PoCs in collaboration with senior banking stakeholders.Define migration roadmaps and solution blueprints aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, DevOps, and analytics.Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards for data security and integrity.Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years as an AWS Solutions Architect.Proven track record of delivering large-scale cloud migration projects, preferably in banking or financial services.Expert in AWS solutions across compute, containers, databases, security, integration, and DevOps using services like EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and Terraform."Deep understanding of data architecture, analytics, and real-time data streaming.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in complex enterprise environments.Experience working directly on core banking systems or digital banking platforms (Preferred).AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) (Preferred).Experience in regulated environments or financial compliance standards (Preferred).
