Requirements and Qualifications:

l Education: A bachelor's or higher degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of experience.

l Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems development, such as Embedded C / C and C++.

l Understanding of electronic components, microcontrollers, processors, and the ability to read and interpret schematics.

l Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems and the ability to develop software for real-time applications.

l Knowledge of various communication protocols and interfaces commonly used in embedded systems.

l Strong knowledge of transducers and analog and digital signals design.

l Good knowledge of hardware architectures like AVR, ATmega, ESP32, simcom cellular modules and STM32.

l Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug and troubleshoot issues in embedded systems.

l Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, meeting project deadlines and goals.

l Willingness to stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in embedded systems development.

l Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

l Familiarity with PCB design and circuit testing using open-source software.

l Experience in working with GSM and LoRa modules.


Roles and responsibilities:

l Design and develop embedded software for IoT-enabled water sustainability products, including STP installations and water meters.

l  Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components and peripherals.

l Implement communication protocols for data transmission and remote monitoring, such as MQTT, CoAP, Modbus, LoRaWAN.

l  Develop algorithms and data processing techniques for real-time data analysis and optimization.

l  Conduct testing and debugging of embedded systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.

l Document design specifications, code, and test procedures.

l Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in embedded systems and IoT.

l Develop and integrate both hardware and software components to create a cohesive embedded system. This may involve working with microcontrollers, processors, sensors, actuators, and other electronic components.

l Write efficient and optimized code for embedded systems, considering resource constraints such as memory, processing power, and power consumption.

l Conduct thorough testing of embedded systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance. Debug and troubleshoot issues as they arise during development and testing phases.

l Implement and work with real-time operating systems to manage tasks and processes within embedded systems that require real-time responsiveness.

l Utilize various communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, USB, MODBUS, MQTT) to enable communication between different components of the embedded system or with external devices.

l Interface with and configure peripherals like sensors, displays, communication modules, and actuators to facilitate the desired functionality of the embedded system.

l Maintain comprehensive documentation of design specifications, code, and project-related information to facilitate collaboration and future maintenance.

l Designing and building firmware.

l Performing tests to ensure proper integration and functioning of the systems.

l Perform PCB Assembly

l Providing post production support.
