Job Purpose:  

The Supply Chain and Market Analyst will be a key player in managing the sourcing, pricing, and manufacturing of Protein World's nutritional products. This role will focus on cost breakdowns, supplier negotiations, logistics management, and market analysis. Additionally, the candidate will evaluate pricing and profit margins in the Indian, UK, and USA markets and perform competition analysis to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

- Product Costing: Analyze product costs, including ingredients, packaging materials, and jar costs for all nutritional products.

- Supplier Management: Source at least three relevant pill/nutrition manufacturing factories in India, request quotes, assess capabilities, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier relationships.

- Pricing Strategy: Conduct pricing analysis for the Indian, UK, and USA markets, determining optimal profit margins for each market.

- Market & Competition Analysis: Regularly conduct competitor research to understand the pricing, product offerings, and market strategies of competitors in all relevant markets.

- Negotiations: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best quality at competitive pricing.

- Production Oversight: Monitor and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and alignment with market demands.

- Logistics & Compliance: Oversee logistics for shipping products to the UK, ensuring all customs, regulatory, and compliance paperwork is managed correctly.

- Vendor Relations: Maintain strong partnerships with Indian suppliers and factories for long-term collaboration.

- Market Reporting: Provide insights into pricing, profit margins, market opportunities, and competitive threats to senior management.

- Product Strategy: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure pricing aligns with the company’s overall product and market strategy.


Required Skills:

- Supply Chain & Logistics: Solid understanding of sourcing, production processes, and international shipping.

- Financial Acumen: Ability to perform detailed cost analysis, assess profit margins, and support the business with financial insights.

- Market Research: Strong skills in competitive market research and pricing strategy development.

- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.

- Project Management: Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with suppliers, internal teams, and senior management.

- Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate market data and financial metrics into actionable business insights.


Qualifications:

- Education:  

  - Relevant degrees in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Economics. In India, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), a Bachelor’s in Commerce (B.Com), or a similar qualification would be appropriate.

  - MBA in Supply Chain or Operations Management is an added advantage.

  

- Experience:  

  - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, market analysis, or production coordination, ideally in the nutrition or health sector.
