Key Responsibilities :

- ETL Design and Development : Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various data sources into data warehouses or data marts.

- Data Integration : Collaborate with data architects and analysts to ensure seamless data integration across various platforms and systems.

- Performance Tuning : Optimize ETL processes for performance, ensuring efficient data processing and transformation.

- Conduct regular performance tuning and troubleshooting of ETL jobs.

- Data Quality Management : Implement and maintain data quality processes within the ETL workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.

- Requirement Gathering : Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements, translating them into technical specifications for ETL processes.

- Testing and Validation : Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests for ETL processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.

- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and support production deployments.

- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and design specifications.

- Ensure all development is thoroughly documented for future reference.

- Mentorship and Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DataStage developers.

- Lead ETL projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of data solutions.

- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring the integrity and availability of data in production environments.

- Compliance and Security : Ensure all data processes comply with organizational data governance policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

Experience : 7 to 10 years of experience in ETL development with extensive expertise in IBM DataStage.

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in IBM DataStage, including DataStage Designer, Director, and Administrator.

- In-depth understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and data warehousing concepts.

- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or Teradata.

- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g Unix shell scripting) for automation and process enhancement.

- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex ETL issues.

- Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior developers, and work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Agile Methodology : Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g, Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based data platforms.

- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data management (MDM).

- Familiarity with data modeling and metadata management tools.

Educational Background :

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
