Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of total experience with at least 4 years of relevant experience in Java development. This role requires a deep understanding of Java 8, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Kotlin. As a Senior Java Developer, you will work on developing scalable and efficient applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities :

- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Cloud Integration: Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design cloud-based solutions and implement best practices for cloud development and deployment.

- Kotlin Development: Write clean and efficient code using Kotlin, ensuring compatibility with Java-based systems.

- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality through unit testing and automated testing frameworks.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed components and solutions.

- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve technical issues, and optimize performance to ensure smooth application functionality.

- Agile Practices: Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Skills and Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : At least 6 years of experience in software development with 4 years of focused experience in Java.

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Java 8 and Kotlin.

- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based architectures.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.

- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Microservices, and DevOps practices.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration in a remote setting.

- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with remote teams and adapt to different time zones.
