This role emphasizes vulnerability management, attack surface reduction, risk analysis, and executive-level reporting of security metrics. The position requires hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments, proactive threat detection, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF). Key Responsibilities Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability scans using enterprise-grade tools (e.g., Tenable). Work closely with development teams to integrate vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure coding practices. Partner with IT operations to schedule and validate patch deployments, minimizing business disruption. Attack Surface Management: Identify and monitor all internal and external assets to reduce exposure. Collaborate with IT teams to maintain accurate asset inventories and enforce configuration baselines. Provide developers with actionable insights on reducing application-level attack surfaces. Risk Analysis & Reporting: Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for critical systems and applications. Engage with application owners and developers to assess risk impact of new features or changes. Prepare and deliver executive dashboards and reports on vulnerability metrics, trends, and remediation progress. SOC Operations: Monitor security alerts and incidents. Correlate vulnerability data with threat intelligence to identify high-risk exposures. Support incident response activities and root cause analysis, working with IT teams to implement corrective actions. Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reporting. Partner with DevOps and IT teams to ensure security controls are embedded in operational processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information security , Computer Science, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in information security roles, preferably in SOC environments. Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys), SIEM platforms, and attack surface management solutions. Strong understanding of risk management frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST). Ability to create and present vulnerability reports and dashboards. Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred. Preferred Skills Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and container security. Experience with scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell). Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC.
