Job Overview Podar Education Network is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance team at our Parel location. This full-time, mid-level position requires expertise in accounting software and financial analysis to manage our growing financial operations effectively. The Account Officer will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and supporting the organizations educational mission through sound financial practices. Qualifications and Skills Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software is required for managing and maintaining accurate financial records efficiently. Experience with QuickBooks is essential to handle accounting tasks, ensuring all records align with organizational standards. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and complex formulas, are essential for financial reporting. Prior experience in financial analysis to evaluate the organization's financial performance and develop insightful financial strategies. Required understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes to manage and streamline financial transactions. Must be familiar with tax compliance regulations to ensure that all tax-related tasks are handled accurately and timely. Proficiency in SAP ERP for integrating core business processes and managing financial operations with greater efficiency. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and solve financial discrepancies and improve processes. Roles and Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records by applying accounting procedures and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections. Assist in financial analysis and reporting activities to support senior management in strategic decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with tax laws and prepare tax returns, ensuring all financial obligations are met punctually. Reconcile account balances and bank statements to maintain the accuracy of financial information. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations. Support the implementation and ongoing use of accounting software to optimize financial management and reporting systems. Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve financial controls across the organization.
