Job Description -
Qualification & Prerequisite:
- Ph.D. in Biostatistics with having more than 15 years of experience (10 years post Ph.D.) in handling biostatistics.
- Having strong research and publication record.
- Having good track record of grants from national and international agencies.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in all the statistical methods applied in various discipline of health and non-health science domain.
- Knowledge of experimental design and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and visualization software, such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, R, and Python.
- Ability to interpret statistical results and effectively communicate findings to both scientific and lay audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to develop innovative approaches to research questions using applicable statistical techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, scholars, and students from multiple disciplines.
- Knowledge of ethical considerations related to statistical analysis of scientific data.
- Proficiency with computer programming languages and software packages used in biostatistics.
- Knowledge of current issues in biostatistics, epidemiology, and public health.
Job Description:
- Develop statistical models and methods for the analysis of research data.
- Design and perform research studies, clinical trials and other investigations using statistical methods.
- Interpret and present statistical results to a variety of groups including faculty, scholars, researchers, clinicians, and administrators.
- Provide consultation to investigators regarding study designs, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Develop and maintain databases and software applications to support research projects.
- Write reports and journal articles summarizing research results.
- Teach courses or seminars related to biostatistics or research methods.
- Develop and evaluate new statistical methods for analysis of research data.
- Prepare grant proposals related to biostatistical research.
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of research personnel.
