Summary of role responsibilities:

  • Role will be responsible for designing and implementing payments technology solutions
  • Working closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and other architects, to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with the overall enterprise architecture
  • Evaluating new technologies and make recommendations on which ones to adopt and how to integrate them into existing systems
  • Ensuring that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable
  • There will be a responsibility for ART/Feature Teams

Skills required:

  • Operating at Senior Solution Architecture level, specifically within UK low value domestic Payments scheme implementation (Faster Payments, BACS, NPA)
  • Ideally SEPA and SEPA instant payments experience too
  • ISO-20022 data modelling
  • Experience designing Payments solutions covering - fraud, sanctions screening, case management, Treasury, Reconciliation, API gateway design
  • Familiar with UK Payments vendor community, have connections and worked with pay.uk and UK Finance entities
  • Experience of Cloud Architecture, ideally certified in AWS to Solution Architect level
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with stakeholders and demonstrable decision making
  • Ideally have worked in a Scaled Agile context
