Role Overview

We're seeking a versatile 
Web Designer & Developer
 with expertise in 
WordPress
 and hands-on experience across other platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate brings both creative design sensibility and technical problem-solving skills. Experience in 
Python
 for backend scripts, API integrations, or automation is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain responsive websites in 
    WordPress
     and other platforms (Shopify, Webflow, custom HTML/CSS).
  • Develop and customise 
    WordPress themes, templates, and plugins
    .
  • Manage 
    hosting, domains, DNS, cPanel/cloud servers, and SSL certificates
    .
  • Troubleshoot issues including downtime, plugin/theme conflicts, and errors.
  • Optimise websites for 
    speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
    .
  • Collaborate with design/content teams to implement 
    brand-led UI/UX
    .
  • Ensure 
    regular backups, updates, and security
     for client sites.
  • Build 
    custom scripts or API integrations
     (using Python or PHP).
  • Support campaign landing pages, microsites, and digital assets.
  • Stay updated with emerging 
    web technologies and security best practices
    .

Requirements

  • 2–3 years' experience in web design & development (agency preferred).
  • Strong expertise in 
    WordPress
     (themes, plugins, customisation).
  • Proficiency in 
    HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    ; PHP basics required.
  • Experience with 
    Python
     for automation, APIs, or custom backend work.
  • Familiarity with 
    Shopify, Webflow, WooCommerce, or other CMS/e-commerce tools
    .
  • Hands-on with 
    hosting platforms (cPanel, Plesk, WHM, cloud)
    .
  • Strong debugging/troubleshooting ability.
  • Knowledge of 
    SEO fundamentals, analytics, and optimisation tools
    .
  • Bonus: experience with 
    WooCommerce or API-based integrations
    .
