Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement secure and efficient smart contracts for our organization's DeFi platform, fostering innovation throughout the process.

- Collaborate closely with the CTO, Senior Software Engineers, and Research Analysts to define architecture and translate it into smart contract functionalities.

- Work collaboratively with front-end developers to ensure seamless end-to-end user experiences.

- Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in blockchain and smart contract development.

Required Skills:

- Extensive experience in smart contract development (Solidity), especially in decentralized finance (Ethereum DeFi) applications.

- 7+ years of professional engineering experience.

- Proficiency in blockchain/web3 technologies and protocols.

- Strong proficiency in a systems programming language such as C/C++/Java/Rust/Go.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently, assume project ownership, and drive initiatives to completion.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Ability to effectively manage time and tasks within a highly distributed development team without constant supervision.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/related field, or equivalent technical knowledge.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience or interest in Bitcoin script.

- Experience in auditing smart contracts or collaborating with smart contract auditing firms.

- Active involvement in the blockchain ecosystem as a user.
