Electrical Project Manager Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex electrical projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure domains. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing electrical engineering teams, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and delivering high-value projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset are essential for success in this role.

Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating, and managing electrical engineering projects from concept through completion.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring all deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Reviewing and approving electrical system designs, drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to define project requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety codes, local regulations, and industry standards throughout project execution.
  • Preparing and monitoring detailed project schedules, procurement plans, and resource allocations.
  • Managing project budgets, performing cost estimation, and ensuring financial efficiency and accountability.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing contingency plans to mitigate project delays or failures.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.
  • Overseeing the commissioning, testing, and final handover of electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Compiling reports, documentation, and updates for senior management and stakeholders.

Electrical Project Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution; Masters degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical system design, project execution, and industry codes
  • Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
