Electro Mechanical/Electronics & Software Development Engineer

Location: Adibatla, Hyderabad

About the Role

You will play a pivotal role designing, developing, and integrating embedded electronics, motion control systems, and robust electro-mechanical solutions for our automated platforms. Your work will drive breakthroughs in healthcare and life sciences, helping clinicians and researchers deliver results with speed and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electronics & Embedded Systems:
  • Design and optimize electronic circuits, PCBs, and embedded hardware for automated diagnostic instruments.
  • Implement advanced motion control algorithms for robotic liquid handling and microfluidic applications.
  • Integrate motors, sensors, actuators, PID controllers, valves, and fluidic components with embedded controllers.
  • Ensure solutions comply with international standards (ISO, IEC, UL, and FDA).
  • Firmware & Software Development:
  • Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers (ARM, PIC, STM32, and more).
  • Architect RTOS-based real-time control systems for laboratory automation.
  • Create robust hardware abstraction layers and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Modbus, and Ethernet).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver PC-based applications (C#, Python, or LabVIEW) for diagnostics and system control.
  • System Integration & Testing:
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and biomedical engineering teams to achieve seamless hardware/software integration.
  • Lead hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
  • Drive compliance with EMI/EMC, safety, and medical device standards.
  • Research & Innovation:
  • Stay at the forefront of motion control, robotics, AI automation, and electro-mechanical systems for diagnostics.
  • Drive continuous product improvement and leverage AI tools for optimal performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Education & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Embedded Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics design, motion control, and embedded software development (Medical Devices/Life Sciences preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • Proven expertise in circuit design, PCB layout, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Deep hands-on experience with motion system design (BLDC, stepper, servo, PID tuning).
  • Advanced skills in C/C++ firmware (RTOS, FreeRTOS, bare-metal programming); Python proficiency is a plus.
  • Solid grasp of hardware communication protocols and electro-mechanical integration.
  • Proficiency with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1).

Must Have:

  • Experience leveraging AI tools and platforms to drive engineering innovation and productivity.
