Our focus is on bringing world class standards to Roundglass Punjab Football Club and The Roundglass Sports Academy which will support the development of talent in football, hockey and tennis, underpinned by the principles of wholistic wellbeing.
About the role:
You will be responsible for providing body conditioning therapies for professional sports players to enhance their athletic wellbeing. You will collaborate with the Team Physiotherapist and Coaches to provide Injury management and rehabilitation programs and prepare athletes during training and competition events for peak sporting performance. Work Closely with Yoga practitioners to understand and Contribute in Sports Specific Yoga if required.
What you’ll do:
Massage Therapy and Recovery Treatments
Provide sports-specific massage therapy tailored to each athlete’s needs to promote recovery, reduce muscle tension, and prevent injuries.
Administer deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, and other sports massage techniques to support injury prevention and enhance physical performance.
Collaborate with physiotherapists and athletic trainers to develop individualized treatment plans based on athletes’ physical assessments.
Collaboration and Communication Work collaboratively with the sports medicine and coaching team to ensure coordinated care and effective communication on athletes’ progress.
Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment plans and address athletes’ concerns, providing holistic perspectives on wellness and recovery.
Record Keeping and Reporting Maintain detailed records of all treatment sessions, documenting progress and any significant observations.
Prepare reports on athlete progress, treatment efficacy, and recommendations for continued care, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
Holistic Health Practices
Implement holistic therapies such as aromatherapy, acupressure, and guided breathing or relaxation techniques to support mental and emotional well-being.
Offer wellness services that promote overall health, stress management, and recovery, adapting treatments to athletes’ needs and preferences.
Educate athletes on self-care practices that include meditation, relaxation techniques, and other mind-body wellness approaches.
Skills & Qualifications:
Certification in Sports Massage Therapy or similar, accredited by (relevant professional body) Holistic Therapy Certification (such as aromatherapy, acupressure, or Reiki) is highly preferred. Experience : Minimum of 5 years in sports massage and holistic therapies, preferably with athletes or in a sports environment. CPR/First Aid Certification Yoga level 1 certification
