Job Description


This is a full-time on-site position based in Kochi, seeking a Senior Android Developer with expertise 

in native Android development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and 

maintaining Android applications, contributing to the entire software development lifecycle. This 

includes designing and implementing user-friendly, high-performance, and scalable Android 

applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and adhering to best practices to ensure 

code quality.


Responsibilities 


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers, to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and contribute to architectural planning and refactoring to ensure high-quality code.
  • Focus on bug-fixing and improving application performance across various Android devices.
  • Mentor interns, guide, and support team members with your expertise.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest Android trends and emerging technologies.


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience in Android development.
  • Strong foundation in Java fundamentals, clean code, and SOLID principles.
  • Deep understanding of Android components like Activity, Services, Intent, Broadcast Receiver, Content Provider, Handlers, and Threads.
  • Proficient in Android architectures, libraries, and optimization techniques, including memory management, view hierarchy, battery optimization, multithreading, and networking.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party SDK integrations, and common technologies such as HTTPS, JSON, OAuth, and SQL.
  • Ability to develop backend services using RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
  • A keen eye for user experience and usability, with a passion for creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with analytics, location and social APIs, payment gateways, SMS gateways, and cloud integration.
