Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Planning Engineer
to join our project execution team. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of infrastructure projects, and supporting the project team in delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
Prepare and update detailed project schedules using tools like
Primavera P6
or
MS Project
.
Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, and resource needs in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Integrate project schedules with procurement and construction activities.
Resource & Cost Management
Forecast and plan manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
Coordinate with site teams for optimal resource allocation.
Support cost estimation and budgeting processes.
Monitoring & Reporting
Track project progress against schedules; identify delays and propose corrective measures.
Prepare and circulate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain dashboards and visual project trackers for management review.
Risk Management
Identify potential schedule and resource risks; propose mitigation plans.
Update stakeholders on critical paths, delays, and impact on project timelines.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with internal teams (design, procurement, site execution) and external stakeholders (clients, consultants) to ensure alignment.
Attend project review meetings and represent planning updates effectively.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to contractual timelines, safety, and quality standards.
Maintain updated records of planning documentation and approvals for audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
or a related field.
3–7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or railway projects.
Proficiency in
Primavera P6
,
MS Project
, and
MS Excel
.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and industry best practices.
Experience working in EPC or turnkey infrastructure projects is preferred.
