Role Description
The Image Review Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of toll transaction processing using image-based vehicle identification systems. This position is responsible for leading a team of image reviewers who examine and validate vehicle images—such as license plates and classifications—captured at tolling points (e.g., gantries, plazas) to confirm correct toll charges. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of image review accuracy and support the seamless operation of nationwide electronic toll collection and intelligent transportation systems.
Technical Competencies
3+ years of experience in toll operations or a similar image-based review environment.
1+ year in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong understanding of toll systems, ANPR, RFID, and vehicle classification methods.
Proficiency with image review software and tolling platforms (e.g., TransCore, Kapsch, Conduent, etc.)
Review and verify vehicle images captured through automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) systems.
Accurately match toll transaction records with vehicle license plate images.
Correct or manually input license plate information where optical character recognition (OCR) fails.
Identify exceptions such as unreadable, obscured, or out-of-state plates.
Support enforcement activities by flagging toll violations and potential fraudulent behavior.
Collaborate with toll operations, customer service, and IT teams to improve review accuracy and workflows.
Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy benchmarks under performance-driven SLAs.
Ensure compliance with all applicable data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, PCI-DSS, local state laws).
Soft Skill Competencies
High visual attention to detail and strong data entry accuracy.
Basic computer literacy and experience using spreadsheets, review tools, or image systems.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Adjusts to new systems, processes, or changes in tolling regulations or technologies.
Any Other competencies
May involve shift work depending on operational needs (including nights, weekends, or holidays).
Requires reviewing large volumes of images under repetitive conditions.
Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while reviewing visual data from varying environmental conditions (e.g., night, motion blur, rain).
