Assistant General Manager, Project Management (Pharmaceutical NPI)

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for pharmaceutical innovation and new product introductions (NPI)? We are looking for an Assistant General Manager, Project Management to drive the seamless execution of high-priority pharmaceutical NPI projects from concept to market launch. Reporting to the VP, Project Management Office (PMO), you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of pharmaceuticals through strategic project leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Manage a portfolio of high-complexity pharmaceutical NPI projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality launches.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Oversee seamless execution across critical departments, ensuring alignment and milestone adherence.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify challenges early and drive proactive solutions to maintain project timelines and budgets.
CMO Partnership Management: Build strong relationships with global CMOs, ensuring operational excellence and successful product launches.
Governance & Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, track performance metrics, and provide leadership with strategic insights.
Continuous Improvement: Develop project frameworks, optimize tools (e.g., Smartsheet), and drive best practices in project execution.
Operational & Business Support: Align new product opportunities with strategic goals, oversee pipeline reviews, and support financial forecasting.
Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and train project managers, fostering a high-performing team culture.
What You Bring to the Team:
Education: BS/BA in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years in pharmaceutical project management, specifically in NPI and new product launches.
Certification: PMP certification is required.
Industry Expertise: Experience in Sterile Injectables, Generics, and Pharmaceutical CMOs is highly preferred.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/Smartsheet, Visio, SAP (PO Management).
Communication Excellence: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Leadership & Problem-Solving: Ability to manage multiple complex projects and drive solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Global Mindset: Comfortable working in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual setting with domestic and international travel requirements.
