UPS Service Engineer – Job Description
Position: UPS Service Engineer
Work Type: Field Work / On-site Service
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Electronics, Electrical, or related field
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and service UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems and related equipment.
- Diagnose technical issues, perform troubleshooting, and ensure timely resolution of UPS faults.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution units.
- Test system performance, monitor load management, and ensure optimum power backup operation.
- Maintain service logs, documentation, and prepare reports after site visits.
- Provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during installation and servicing.
- Be ready to travel frequently to client sites for service requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of UPS systems, batteries, and power electronics.
- Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in field conditions.
- Strong communication and customer handling skills.
Experience:
- Freshers with ITI/Diploma in Electronics/Electrical may apply.
- Experienced candidates in UPS service/maintenance preferred.
