About the role:

As a full-time audit professional, you would be the main point of contact from Sentient for the client assigned and be responsible for all the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) along with managing day to day operations of those clients. Responsibilities include:


Responsibilities:

- Manage a portfolio of clients, by leading a team of Managers, Seniors, Senior Associates, and Associates.

- Ensure the team delivers timely and high-quality work, as per the audit methodology and in line with the client expectations.

- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key client contacts, such as principals/ partners/ managing partners.

- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of guidance and methodology in delivering the engagements, identifying opportunities to enhance audit processes and procedures.

- Review working papers in complex areas, critically evaluating the audit evidence, including contradictory evidence, and considering whether professional skepticism has been applied.

- Drive adherence to the project plan by team members, ensuring key activities are completed and milestones achieved.

- Translates broader strategy into a compelling team vision and goals, aligning the team and sets priorities to achieve objectives

- Create opportunities for significant impact by anticipating client needs and delivering exceptional results through effective use of team members’ strengths.

- Contribute to the development of the talent pipeline by creating a compelling experience that attracts, nurtures, and retains top talent.

- Build and maintain deep relationships across a diverse network, using a flexible approach to influence and drive outcomes.

- Leverage in-depth knowledge of disruptive trends and competitor activities to drive continuous improvement.

- Establish a strong leadership presence, inspiring others through passion, integrity, and a genuine appreciation for their contributions.

- Engage actively in organizational initiatives, including recruitment, training, and other developmental activities.

Need to have:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

- Qualified candidates - 8+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits

- Expertise in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)

- Proven expertise as a subject matter expert in a specific industry (e.g., Employee Benefit Plans (EBP), Not-for-Profit (NFP), or Governmental Audits) is a plus.

- Exceptional communication abilities for clear and effective interactions with clients and team members

- Proven skills in interpersonal relations, risk management, facilitation, and presentations to manage and influence various stakeholders effectively

- Strong project management and leadership skills, including experience in coaching, counseling, and supervising teams

- Advanced logical and analytical reasoning skills to navigate complex audit challenges and make informed decisions

- Capability to foster a positive work culture, enhance team collaboration, and embody the firm’s values

- Proven ability to establish and maintain robust working relationships with colleagues both in India and globally, facilitating smooth cross-border collaboration
