Area(s) of responsibility

Responsibilities
Manage and support Azure network infrastructure, along with on-premises network infrastructure.

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Set up and manage Azure networking, vNets, firewall rules, and network policies.

Use Terraform scripts for network automation.

Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in both Azure and on-premises environments, including Cisco and Palo Alto networks.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders and on-premises network engineers to ensure seamless migration and communication.

Raise and manage tickets with third-party support teams as needed.

Adhere to best practices for Cloud Adoption Framework and Networking guidelines and compliance standards in all designs and implementations.

Design and enforce robust network security policies in Azure, including access controls, firewall rules, and encryption mechanisms.

Manage and track client delivery, working with geographically dispersed teams to deliver solutions.

Skills Required
Proficiency in Azure networking and security services.

Experience with Azure Firewall, Terraform scripts, and network automation.

Strong understanding of cloud network protocols, security, and compliance standards.

Hands-on understanding of express routes, VPN site-to-site connectivity, VPN gateway, on-prem to cloud connectivity, and SD-WAN.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Analysis of incoming and outgoing network flows for VMs to be migrated, using the Azure Arc dependency collection agent and stored on Azure Log Analytics.

Knowledge of configuration on Azure Firewall and implementing Azure Firewall rules using Terraform.

Knowledge of Azure Log Analytics query scripts.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer Associate, AZ-700 Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions).

Networking certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE) or equivalent.

Minimum 8 -15 years of experience in cloud network engineering or cloud-native networking of Azure, AWS, or Oracle.
