Check out more at Sr.Backend Engineer (Remote) We’re looking for a Remote(India) Backend Engineer to join our core product-engineering team. You’ll work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and data teams to build scalable, high-performance backend systems and data pipelines, with the ability to contribute end-to-end using React for the frontend and Node.Js for the backend. What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Node.Js and Express.Js Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and manage message queues (RabbitMQ) efficiently Collaborate on data & analytics workflows using Trino and Cube.Js Optimize backend performance, reliability, and maintainability Participate in designing internal libraries, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers Mentor junior engineers and help grow the backend team’s technical capabilities Work closely with frontend engineers and actively contribute to end-to-end product development Ensure code quality, testing, and adherence to best practices What we are looking for 4+ years of backend development experience Strong proficiency in Node.Js and backend architecture Hands-on experience with SQL and message queues (RabbitMQ or similar) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong familiarity with React integrations and ability to work on end-to-end features Familiarity with Redis; experience with ClickHouse and semantic layers (e.G., Cube.Js) is a plus Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines Bonus: Experience in e-commerce / Q-commerce SaaS companies Why 1DS is a great choice High-trust, no-politics culture — we value communication, ownership, and accountability Collaborative, ego-free team — building together is in our DNA Learning-first environment — mentorship, peer reviews, and exposure to real business impact Modern stack + autonomy — your voice shapes how we build VC-funded & scaling fast — 220+ strong, building from India for the world
