What you’ll need ::
Knowledge of different polymeric materials (plastics, sealants, coatings, etc) and their compatibility in different environmental conditions.
Hands-on experience with different moulding techniques (viz. injection moulding, extrusion, compression, etc.)
Hands-on experience with various test equipment (viz. UTM, FTIR, DSC, TGA, SEM, ICP-OES/MS, GCMS, XRD etc.)
Knowledge of basic electrochemistry and/or coating formulation is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Perform raw material evaluation tests and product performance studies.
Run research projects, investigate failure issues.
Plan and execute specific experiments associated with plastics/elastomers (including coatings/sealants)
Work with approved vendors to develop and validate materials as per the specifications defined.
Validate developed materials in prototypes in collaboration with cross functional team members.
Conduct product benchmarking analyses and frame product development strategies.
Improving the Cell performance, reliability and safety while working in tandem with different cross functional teams
Analysing patents and literature to find the suitable materials for the required application and to find a methodology for processing it.
Actively contribute to sharing learning’s, test results and inference obtained thereof.
Schedule and organize meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead preparation of documents for the various work-related activities and ensure timely update of reports and documents.
