Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to lead coding initiatives, skill development programs, and innovative academic evaluation methodologies. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with academic departments to enhance students' coding skills, introduce global certifications, and implement project-based learning (PBL) models. This role requires a proactive leader passionate about empowering students to excel in global coding contests, skill certifications, and hands-on learning experiences. This role is pivotal in driving the academic and career success of CSE students, fostering a culture of coding excellence and skill development at KL University.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coding and Skill Development Leadership
- Design and implement structured coding programs aligned with industry standards.
- Lead coding classes in collaboration with academic teams and integrate them into the curriculum.
- Train students for global coding competitions like ICPC, and encourage participation in platforms such as Code Chef, Leet Code, and Code forces.
- Organize hackathons, codeathons, and competitive coding events in collaboration with student chapters.
2. Curriculum and Evaluation Design
- Develop and update coding syllabi, conduct assessments, and create robust question banks.
- Collaborate with departments to design and implement innovative, practical-oriented evaluation patterns.
- Transform advanced courses such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML), Network and Protocol Security (NPS), and Full Stack Engineering (FSE) into EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) models.
- Guide faculty in implementing project-based learning (PBL) approaches and evaluate student projects using collaborative tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams.
3. Global Certification Programs
- Introduce and manage global certification courses using in-house resources.
- Oversee student preparation and guide them to achieve certifications in domains like AI, data science, cybersecurity, and full-stack development.
- Work with the skill development department to integrate certifications and skill-building initiatives into the curriculum.
4. Student Mentorship and Development
- Provide mentorship to students for coding challenges and project-based learning.
- Encourage and support participation in prestigious competitions and research opportunities.
- Foster a culture of experiential and hands-on learning across departments.
5. Academic Reporting and Collaboration
- Generate detailed reports and perform result analysis for all coding and skill development activities.
- Work closely with, Top Management, Heads of Departments (HoDs) and Academic Coordinators to align initiatives with departmental goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to introduce dynamic assessment methods and enhance academic evaluation frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- MTech or PhD in Computer Science.
- Considerable experience in coding instruction, curriculum design, and student assessments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
- Familiarity with online coding platforms (e.g., Code Chef, Leet Code, Code forces) and global contests like ICPC.
- Relevant global certifications in coding are preferred.
- Strong understanding of course requirements and ability to design innovative evaluation methods.
- Proven experience in conducting skill development activities and utilizing emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
