Job Overview:

The Associate - Finance candidate is a key member of the finance team in our advertising agency. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong foundation in finance and accounting. The Associate will support various financial functions, including budgeting, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial reporting. This role is crucial in ensuring the agency's financial processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant.



Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Generate and analyze financial data to provide insights into the agency's financial performance.
  • Invoicing and Billing: Generate and review client invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms. Coordinate with account managers to address any billing discrepancies and facilitate prompt payment.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting process by collecting and organizing financial data. Assist in preparing financial forecasts and variance analysis to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Expense Management: Process and reconcile employee expenses in accordance with company policies. Assist in monitoring and controlling departmental expenditures.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Financial Systems: Utilize financial software and tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Collaborate with the finance team to implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and support as needed. Collaborate with external vendors, clients, and auditors on financial matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within an advertising agency or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
