We also assist employees with finding suitable housing.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the development and optimisation of SQL queries and stored procedures to support data retrieval and reporting needsParticipate in database design discussions and contribute to data modelling effortsSupport the implementation of data integration processes and ETL workflowsMonitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they ariseDocument database architecture, processes, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharingDeployment, configuration and maintenance of RDBMS and/or NOSQL databasesSupport database backup and recovery operationsManage user access, permissions, and rolesTechnical Skills:Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS)Understanding of database concepts like indexing, normalization, and transactionsFamiliarity with PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB installation and configurationFamiliarity with backup and recovery procedures and user managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWillingness to learn new technologies and work in a dynamic environmentGood to Have:Internship or academic project experience related to databasesExposure to Linux/Unix environmentsFamiliarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB) is a plusBasic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.)Soft Skills:Good analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to learn quickly and work in a team environmentEffective communication and interpersonal skillsGood communication and collaboration skills
