Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist with specific expertise in drone-based data processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LiDAR data processing, thermal data processing, radiation mapping, and general drone data post-processing. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, analytical skills, and practical experience in GIS and remote sensing.


Key Responsibilities:


Drone-Based LiDAR Data Processing:


Collect and process high-resolution 3D data using drones equipped with LiDAR sensors.

Create detailed terrain models, contour maps, and vegetation analysis reports.

Drone Data Post-Processing:


Generate orthomosaics, 3D models, various post processed puts and volumetric analyses from drone-captured images.

Perform photogrammetry for accurate mapping and surveying.


Thermal Data Processing:


Analyze thermal imagery for applications in building inspections, agricultural monitoring, and infrastructure assessment.

Identify heat leaks, moisture accumulation, and other anomalies through thermal data interpretation.

Radiation Mapping:


Conduct radiation mapping using drones to assess environmental safety and monitor radiation levels.

Process and interpret radiation data to produce detailed maps and reports.

Digitization Services:


Convert physical maps and plans into digital formats for enhanced analysis and sharing, digitization of drone based processed data.

Create and maintain GIS databases for various applications.

Technical Support and Training:


Provide technical support to clients and team members on GIS and drone data processing.

Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the team's knowledge and skills in GIS technologies.


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

At least 3-5 years of experience in GIS and drone-based data processing.

Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and specialized drone data processing tools like Pix4D, DroneDeploy, and Agisoft Metashape.

Experience with LiDAR data processing and interpretation.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements for drone operations and data processing.


Preferred Skills:


Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions and data storage.

Familiarity with machine learning and AI techniques for data analysis.

Certification in drone operation and safety.

Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for GIS data analysis.
