Position Title : Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities :

Leadership and Team Management :

- Lead a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient project execution.

- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

Quality Assurance Strategy :

- Develop and implement QA strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure high-quality software products.

- Define QA standards and best practices for the team to follow.

- Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies.

Test Planning and Execution :

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.

- Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools.

- Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing as needed.

Test Automation :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.

- Identify opportunities for test automation and implement automation strategies to increase testing efficiency and coverage.

Defect Management :

- Identify, report, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.

- Work closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects in a timely manner.

- Perform root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of defects and recommend corrective actions.

Quality Metrics and Reporting :

- Define and track key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA processes and the quality of software releases.

- Generate and distribute QA reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting key quality indicators and trends.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.

- Communicate QA status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

- Participate in project meetings, reviews, and retrospectives to provide QA insights and feedback.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and software testing.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose initiatives to enhance QA effectiveness and efficiency.

- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the professional development of team members.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.

- Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing QA projects.

- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Quality certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.
