Linux Server Administrator – BigBlueButton Installation

We are hiring a skilled Linux Server Administrator with experience in BigBlueButton installation and server management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining BigBlueButton servers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain BigBlueButton on Linux servers.
  • Write and execute Bash scripts to automate deployment and server management tasks.
  • Monitor and optimize server hardware resources, including memory, CPU, disk space, and bandwidth.
  • Configure and manage networking components: firewalls, TCP/UDP ports, hostnames, and SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Deploy and manage Docker containers for application isolation and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot server and application issues and implement security best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Debian).
  • Experience with BigBlueButton installation and configuration.
  • Proficient in Bash scripting and automation.
  • Understanding of server hardware, resource monitoring, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, firewalls, and SSL/TLS configuration.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex server and networking issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing production servers for real-time communication platforms.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and server performance tuning.

Familiarity with cloud server environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
