Salesforce Solution Architect / Lead – Manufacturing Cloud (Contractor) Location: Remote Contract Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect (Contractor) to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance solutions on Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud and related clouds. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in building reusable, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions. You will guide global teams, enforce development standards, and ensure solutions are reliable, efficient, and future-ready. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design Lead end-to-end architecture for Manufacturing Cloud solutions that are scalable and globally reusable. Integrate Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud to deliver unified customer/partner experiences. Translate business needs into detailed technical designs aligned with best practices. Define data models, security design, and integration architecture in line with global governance. Engineering Quality & Performance Enforce TDD, CI/CD, and strong coding standards. Build reusable components, frameworks, and services to accelerate global delivery. Conduct code reviews and ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability. Establish KPIs for performance, test coverage, and technical debt reduction. Maintain high standards for documentation, version control, and development discipline. Integration & Cross-Cloud Expertise Architect integrations using MuleSoft or similar middleware across ERP, CPQ, Commerce, and Data Cloud. Work with Commerce Cloud teams to align product, pricing, and order management models. Apply API-led, event-driven, and real-time data synchronization patterns. Leadership & Mentorship Mentor developers, admins, and analysts to strengthen technical skills. Conduct design reviews and provide continuous feedback. Encourage proactive ownership and long-term architectural thinking. Governance & Continuous Improvement Define and maintain global architecture standards and reusable design patterns. Monitor production performance and lead root-cause analysis. Evaluate new Salesforce releases and platform improvements. Align with Product Owners and Architects on roadmaps and priorities. Required Qualifications 10+ years of Salesforce experience, with 5+ years as an Architect or Technical Lead. Strong hands-on expertise in Manufacturing Cloud architecture and implementation. Experience with Experience Cloud; exposure to Commerce Cloud preferred. Familiarity with Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud in integrated architectures. Deep experience with MuleSoft or similar integration platforms. Strong understanding of core Salesforce architecture (data model, security, limits). Expertise in performance tuning, test automation, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proactive, detail-oriented, and effective in fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification. Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud Consultant certification. Experience with multi-org global Salesforce setups. Knowledge of Agile, JIRA, and Confluence.
