Job Title: Senior Manager – QA/QC (Civil - Residential Constructions)

Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Reports to: Head – Projects
Location: Chennai
Experience Required: 12–18 years (Civil QA/QC in Residential Real Estate / High-Rise Projects)
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Postgraduate/QA Certifications preferred)

Job Purpose:

To lead and oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control function across all residential real estate projects, ensuring construction quality, material standards, and compliance with regulatory norms. This role ensures that projects meet the company's quality benchmarks and customer satisfaction expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Planning & Implementation

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, policies, and procedures.
• Define quality benchmarks for civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works in line with project specifications.
• Ensure adherence to ISO/quality management systems across projects.

2. Site Quality Monitoring

• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality checks across multiple projects.
• Monitor execution of civil works, materials, and workmanship against approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify quality deviations/non-conformities and initiate corrective/preventive actions.

3. Material & Vendor Quality Management

• Approve vendors and suppliers from a quality perspective.
• Ensure proper testing of raw materials (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, blocks, etc.) as per IS codes.
• Coordinate with external labs for third-party testing.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of quality inspections, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic QA/QC reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation for management review.
• Ensure traceability of materials and test certificates.

5. Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, and contractors for quality-related issues.
• Conduct training sessions for site engineers and contractors on QA/QC practices.
• Support project handover by ensuring defect-free completion and customer quality expectations.

6. Regulatory & Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, BIS standards, and other applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with HSE teams to ensure quality and safety integration on-site.
• Assist in audits by external agencies/authorities.

Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of IS codes, QA/QC standards, and construction materials.
• Hands-on experience in residential high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, finishing standards, and MEP interfaces.
• Leadership skills to manage a team of quality engineers across multiple sites.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC reporting tools.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in large-scale residential or township projects with reputed developers.
• Strong track record of driving zero-defect culture and ensuring on-time quality delivery.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality audits.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700, ₹1,000,000.00 per year
