Purpose of the Role: To provide personal, family, and community-orientated comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals. S/he would also be responsible for providing patient-centric, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to a defined population.
Key Deliverables:
- Undertake & lead community-based public health initiatives in and around the designated operational areas.- Provide basic comprehensive helathcare services to the community, provision of primary healthcare and other public health related activities as and when required.- Implement specific projects and initiatives in the public health domain which would impact the communities & contribute to the overall goals.- Train the team of public health functionaries of TSF in the field, when called upon to do so.- Provide active support to other thematic teams that have interlinkages with the Public Health domain.- Undertake all daily management and administrative tasks related to the public health domain.- Will be responsible for all aspects (including effective functioning) of the mPHU under the overall supervision of the Unit Head. The other staff will work under his/her supervision on a day-to-day basis.- Will be responsible for submitting the daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly reports and patient related details to Unit Head on the prescribed format.- Ensure that he/she and all other team members adhere to the principles of medical ethics and abide by all medical laws / ethics as applicable.- Shall comply to schedule (field/village visit) as determined/ designated by the Unit Head & shall make changes as per operational need/requirement of respective TSF Unit on the advice of the Unit Head.- Outreach visits are to be undertaken as required / decided by Unit Head. .
Shall ensure the following:
- Patient register is maintained and prescription pad with duplicate is used as per the approved designed by TSF, one should remain with the patient for follow-up visits.- All copies of prescription slips should be maintained and submitted to TSF for audit purpose.- All patient data is entered into TSF’s app (or any other manual/digital platform as required by TSF) on daily basis.- Summary of referrals need to be submitted to Unit Head on daily basis and the consolidated monthly report shall be submitted to the Unit Head , with basic analysis on the format as given by TSF.- Shall undertake the outreach services with the logistic/consummable items as provided by TSF and shall ensure that a detailed record of stock and utilization of all these items is kept.- In case of any patients being referred to any government healthcare facility, details of such referred patients shall be collated and submitted to Unit Head.- No patient should be referred to any private hospital without any prior approval from Unit Head.- Any patient should not be referred directly to Tata Steel Hospital without prior consultation and approval from Unit Head.- Shall ensure compliance to Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 Rules,- In case of requirements for organising any specialized health camps in Unit, to extend all possible support for organizing the specialized health camps.
Scope of services: Primary Healthcare Services across all domains.
Minimum Qualification: MBBS from any NMC-recognized medical college (foreign graduates must fulfil the requirement to practice modern medicine in India as per National Policy).
Work experience in years: 03 to 05 years after completion of internship.
Technical Skill Sets:
All skills as required for Indian Medical Graduate (IMG) as per NMC standards.
Should have basic knowledge of epidemiology and biostatistics, communicable and non- communicable diseases and other public health domains.
Should stay abreast about the latest developments in the field of medical research.
Good Communication skills; Read-Speak-Write English and Hindi (for Jharkhand locations) & English, Hindi & Odia (for Odisha locations).
Behavioral Skill Sets:
- Interact positively with the community, and team members;- Self-motivated,- Result-oriented.- Energetic individual with proven leadership skills and a scientific approach to public health activities/research shall be strongly preferred.
