Role Description

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief AI Officer (CAIO) for developing and executing the AI strategy across the organization. The CAIO will play a critical role in integrating AI technologies across our operations, driving innovation, and enhancing our competitive edge in the renewable energy sector. This role requires a deep understanding of AI, machine learning, and data analytics. Strong background in the renewable energy sector will be a plus.


Location: Mumbai, Nagpur, Thane, Noida, Greater Noida


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives in the renewable energy sector.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning into solar plants, solar module manufacturing, and green ammonia production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into AI-driven solutions.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of AI models, ensuring their accuracy, scalability, and robustness.
  • Drive innovation by exploring and adopting the latest AI technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical standards in AI implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI systems, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Gen AI, ML and renewable energy.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and other events to promote our AI initiatives and thought leadership.
  • Address ownership risks and navigate uncertainties regarding content generated by GenAI.
  • Secure data throughout its lifecycle, responsibly managing data input, processing, and output.
  • Implement robust data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, privacy, and security.
  • Drive the development and application of AI solutions to optimize renewable energy operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.


Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of relevant work experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the renewable energy sector or a related industry.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within AI, data science, or related domains.
  • Extensive knowledge of AI, machine learning, Big data, deep learning, and data analytics.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector will be desirable.
  • Strong track record of successfully leading and managing AI/ML projects from concept to deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of data privacy regulations and ethical considerations in AI.
