As a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in NLP and Generative AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge artificial intelligence products and solutions for our customers. 


In this role, you will be responsible for building and operationalizing a variety of NLP models including summarization, question-answering, intent recognition, dialog/conversational AI, semantic search, named entity recognition, knowledge discovery, document understanding, and text classification. Your work will focus not only on English but also extensively on Thai, handling unique challenges and opportunities presented by the Thai language in NLP tasks. You will be working with customers across Southeast Asia, building assets and products for various use-cases including enterprise search, chatbots, code generation, data story generation, and FAQ systems.
You may use a variety of algorithms and models from packages such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face and work with cutting-edge LLM frameworks like Langchain, Guardrails, and adjacent technologies including Vector databases. You’ll also use state-of-the-art MLOps practices to help evaluate different models, manage them, and deploy them to production.
We are looking for creative thinkers to innovate as we work with our customers and help develop reusable assets that can work across different customer engagements. Given the deployment of models in production, you are also responsible for upholding a high standard of code quality, and writing and maintaining documentation and tests for the code you write and models you develop.
Requirements
  • Analyze large sets of data from various sources, focusing on English and Thai languages, including websites, wikis, enterprise apps, document stores, file systems, conversation platforms, social media platforms, and databases.
  • Build NLP models on these datasets based on customer requirements, with a strong emphasis on Thai language processing.
  • Use Foundation LLMs as needed, and finetune them if required for both English and Thai language tasks.
  • Leverage cloud infra such as AWS, Databricks etc. to build and deploy LLM powered systems
  • Be involved in operationalizing these models in scalable & demanding production environments
  • Build evaluation datasets & conduct regular tests of the models to ensure they meet desired quality in terms of both benchmarks and human level feedback
  • Showcase your analysis and models on notebooks like Jupyter
  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills, and the ability to interact with a multicultural and multilingual team across Southeast Asia.
You Should Apply If You Possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Good software engineering experience with Python
  • Experience in deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow or PyTorch)
  • Experience with NLP models, frameworks, and libraries (Hugging Face, spaCy, Haystack, etc.), with a focus on Thai language processing.
  • Experience with building applications with LLMs including techniques such as prompt engineering, chaining, agents, function calls.
  • Experience fine-tuning and deploying LLMs, especially in bilingual contexts, is a major plus.
  • Experience with document databases like Elastic Search or Vespa is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Minimum 3 years of related job experience
  • Knowledge of Thai and English language is mandatory.
