Qualifications and Experience:
  • Class 1 Marine Engineer Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of Chief Engineer experience on oil, chemical, product tankers and gas tankers.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience as a Technical Superintendent managing oil tankers and gas tankers.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
  • Fluent in English and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
  • Good knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards .
  • Strong skills in communication, technical analysis, drydocking procedures, and budget management.
  • Competency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine vessel inspections, ensuring compliance with international and company standards.
  • Oversee and manage repairs, drydocking, and overall vessel maintenance and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations, even under pressure.
  • Coordinate with crew and other stakeholders, maintaining high performance in stressful conditions.
Work Environment:
  • Multicultural team-oriented environment requiring adaptability and teamwork.
  • Regular onboard visits for inspections, repairs, and drydocking activities.
