We are seeking an Investment Analyst with a focus on fundraising and Limited Partner (LP) scouting to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Support:
Assist in the preparation of pitch decks, investor presentations, and fundraising materials.
Research and identify potential investors (LPs), family offices, and institutional partners.
Engage with prospective LPs to provide information on fund performance, investment strategies, and portfolio companies.
Coordinate meetings, calls, and presentations between senior partners and potential investors.
LP Scouting and Relationship Building:
Conduct in-depth research to scout new LPs and maintain a robust database of potential investors.
Analyze LPs' investment preferences, interests, and past behaviors to tailor outreach efforts.
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with LPs, keeping them informed about the firm's progress and investment opportunities.
Monitor LP sentiment and market trends to anticipate shifts in fundraising opportunities.
Market and Industry Analysis:
Conduct research on venture capital trends, fundraising rounds, and competitive landscape.
Stay updated on emerging industries and potential LP interests to support decision-making.
Travel & Networking:
Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and investor meetings during the initial three months, rotating between Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi (1 month in each location).
Build relationships with key players in the investment ecosystem, including LPs, founders, and other venture capitalists.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related fields.
Strong understanding of fundraising processes and the venture capital landscape in India.
Excellent research, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely, with a willingness to travel.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred:
Undergraduate or postgraduate degree from IIT/IIM or equivalent institutions.
International education (UG/PG from a recognized university abroad) will be a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
Familiarity with CRM systems or databases to manage investor relations.
A network of potential LPs or experience in investor relations is a plus.
