Location: Muscat, Oman Working Days: Sunday to Thursday Experience: 6+ Years Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred (up to 30 days acceptable) Summary Administer and optimize enterprise big-data platforms with Cloudera, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Python, Hue, Cloud, API, and Rangers. Responsibilities Install, configure, upgrade, and operate Cloudera clusters; capacity planning, high availability, and backups. Manage and tune Spark jobs, Kafka brokers/topics, and Hive metastore/LLAP/ACID tables. Enable secure access and governance using Rangers (Apache Ranger) policies, audits, and tags. Provide platform tooling via Hue for users; automate admin tasks with Python and shell. Integrate platform services with external systems via API; connect on-prem and Cloud resources. Monitor health and performance; troubleshoot YARN/Resource Manager, HDFS, Zookeeper, and networking issues. Required Skills 6+ years in big-data engineering/administration, with hands-on Cloudera distribution management. Expert knowledge of Spark, Kafka, Hive, Hue, Rangers, and Python automation. Experience integrating with API endpoints and managing hybrid/on-prem to Cloud connectivity. Strong security (Kerberos, TLS), resource tuning, and benchmarking across data-intensive workloads.
