Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Deployment Support Engineer to oversee the on-site deployment and support for software that monitors the performance of glass furnace. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful installation, integration, deployment of the software system and work closely with internal teams, site personnel, and the software development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Deployment and Setup:

Coordinate with software development team and technical teams to ensure proper installation and setup of the glass furnace refractories monitoring software.

Ensure proper connectivity between site systems (SCADA/PLC/DCS) and the monitoring software.

Assist in configuration, calibration, and software testing to ensure accurate data collection and performance monitoring.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Monitor the system performance post-deployment and troubleshoot any technical issues related to software, hardware, or connectivity.

Work closely with the software development team to resolve bugs or performance issues.

Perform system diagnostics to ensure the accuracy of the monitoring data.

Training and Support:

Provide technical training and support to on-site teams to ensure the effective use of the monitoring software.

Develop user guides and operational procedures for site personnel.

Continuous Improvement:

Collect feedback from users to improve the software’s functionality and ease of use.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to suggest system enhancements and updates.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed logs of software deployment, issues encountered, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.

Prepare weekly reports to update management on software performance and system health.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or IT.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in industrial environments

Experience with SCADA, PLC, or DCS systems and their integration with monitoring software.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with data analytics software or monitoring systems used in manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of glass furnace operations and maintenance is a strong advantage.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment:

On-site work at a glass manufacturing facility with travel required.

Exposure to industrial settings, including furnace environments, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
