Job Description

Overview1.0 Position Summary:Independently develops, maintains, upgrades and executes, test cases and Automation Scripts for application products. Identifies product limitations. Works effectively within a team of technically strong engineers. Adheres to the schedules, standards and quality processes and procedures of the Organization.Identifying product limitations, exploratory testing, ability to find defects that severely impact product functionality and usability are essential for this position.He/She shall be responsible for training/mentoring the junior team members.

Responsibilities1.1 Responsibilities

:Set up test environmentDevelop high quality test cases against requirements/user storiesPerform effective test case review against requirements/user storiesIdentification of regression test casesDevelop performance test cases using toolsContribute to Test Strategy and Test Plan, and implement in respective area of workExecute assigned test runs and update results into Test Case management Tool Enter defect details in Defect Tracking ToolHelp developers in reproducing complex/rare issuesEnsure appropriate links between requirement ,test case and defects (traceability)Complete assigned tasks on-time and in accordance with the appropriate process.Participate in technical reviews to ensure product quality.Contribute to Test Case designGood knowledge of UML and ability to develop test cases based on use casesRegular status reports of testing activities.Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applicationsHandle complex test automation and troubleshoot issues.Good in usage of software configuration management tools, defect tracking toolsTrain and mentor junior team members1.3 Functional SkillsKnowledge of Screening and Scanning technologies is a plusExposure to Security Systems domain is a plus1.4 Specific Knowledge and Technical SkillsKnowledge of Software Development Life Cycles, Testing Life Cycle and testing ConceptsKnowledge of Microsoft OS (Windows 10, Windows Server & above) and software practicesComprehend Test set-up.Experience in Manual Web testing and Performance testingProficient in Java language as applied to test automationGood test automation experience with SeleniumExperience in Usage of Test NG frameworkExperience in writing basic SQL queries is requiredExperience with Agile software development methodology is requiredWorking knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel is requiredKnowledge on API Testing and Docker is a plusTesting experience on Android , iOS platforms is a plusExperience with Performance Testing Tools such as LoadRunner is a plus1.5 Soft SkillsAbility to accomplish assigned tasks without supervision.Excellent verbal/written communication skills with very good teaming skillsGood documentation skills and software process disciplineSelf initiative and self managedVoice out issues and persuasive to resolve issuesGood time management and organizational skillsAn ability to work to deadline

Qualifications1.2 Educational & Experience RequirementsBE/B.Tech in the disciplines of EEE/ECE/CSE or MCA degree or equivalent experience.Required at least 6 years of Software testing experience in a product based company using several of the skills and technologies mentioned below.
