About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Procurement team, focusing on electrical procurement related to transmission lines for solar energy projects. The role involves supporting end-to-end procurement activities, vendor management, and ensuring timely availability of materials while adhering to cost and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support procurement activities for transmission line equipment and materials (conductors, insulators, hardware fittings, towers, cables, etc.).
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers/vendors for electrical procurement needs.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project execution, and site teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare and float RFQs (Request for Quotation), analyze techno-commercial bids, and assist in vendor negotiations.
  • Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.
  • Assist in maintaining vendor database, price benchmarks, and procurement MIS.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and cost optimization.
  • Support in resolving vendor queries, delivery issues, or logistics-related challenges.

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in transmission line/electrical equipment for renewable or power sector.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components used in transmission line projects.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/SAP (added advantage).
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills.
