Job Description: Snowflake Architect

Position: Snowflake Architect

Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Coimbatore

Employment Type: Full-Time/ Permanent

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Architect to lead and manage the design, implementation, and optimization of data warehouse solutions on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud data platforms, data architecture, and Snowflake’s capabilities, working with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement Snowflake-based data solutions, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
  3. Architect end-to-end data pipelines and manage ETL/ELT processes.
  4. Design and optimize Snowflake schemas, data models, and storage solutions.
  5. Implement data governance, data security, and compliance practices within the Snowflake environment.
  6. Develop best practices for database tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Snowflake and data architecture principles.
  8. Analyze and recommend improvements to data architectures, ensuring efficient data flow and reporting.
  9. Troubleshoot performance issues, provide solutions, and optimize Snowflake operations.
  10. Stay updated with Snowflake's new features and industry best practices to improve solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud data platforms.
  2. Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and SQL.
  3. Proficiency in data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache Kafka).
  4. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  5. Strong knowledge of data security, data privacy, and governance.
  6. Experience in building data pipelines and optimizing performance in Snowflake.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  8. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Snowflake certification.
  2. Familiarity with other data warehousing solutions (Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
  3. Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools.
