Job Overview:

Closely work with DR Team and Functional Stakeholders to manage disaster recovery.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery plans for infrastructure components and critical applications to ensure the resilience of our critical systems and operations
  • Own the development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the rapid recovery of critical systems, infrastructure, and data
  • Demonstrable ability to coordinate sophisticated integrated disaster recovery exercises
  • Coordinates with various information technology and business groups to identify critical systems and dependencies, and the potential vulnerabilities and risks that could result in catastrophic impact
  • Generate regular reports on the organization's disaster recovery capabilities and security posture for executive leadership and collaborators
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Conduct detailed Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact Analysis
  • Develop resilience reports that identify gaps and recommendations from Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact Analysis
  • Maintains knowledge on the current and emerging developments/trends for IT Disaster Recovery technology and resilience solutions
  • Collaborate with technical engineering teams to understand the evolving architectures to plan, design and test the resilience solutions
  • Review and provide recommendations for departments Technology Disaster recovery Plans and Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations Plans
  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations Plans for the department and each division
  • Review the completeness of technology recovery plans and procedures for critical technology systems and applications for completeness
  • Design, plan, coordinate and implement technology resilience test/exercise with recovery teams for all critical technology systems and applications
  • Support natural, human-caused, and technology disaster/emergencies during the activations of the Emergency Operations Center/Department Operation Center
  • Troubleshooting all types of Zerto replication issues
  • Work with DR Governance team
  • Execute DR bubble test
  • Create DR Run-books
  • Manage Internal and External Audits
  • Certify DR procedures with Cyber Insurance


Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 8+ years of experience in Zerto and managing disaster recovery
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • In-depth understanding of the Zerto Virtual Replication solution for business continuity and disaster recovery in virtualized environments
  • Replication, Sizing drives into the replication mechanics and how to size environments properly for Zerto deployments
  • How to manage recovery operations effectively via Zerto GUI, Power User Tips, Recovery Operations
  • Common Issues, Troubleshooting, Zerto Support addresses typical challenges, troubleshooting techniques, and how to engage Zerto support
  • Ports for ZVR with vSphere, vCenter Roles and Permissions focuses on the network aspects such as required ports and vCenter roles and permissions needed for Zerto
  • Advance Knowledge of VMware, vCenter Roles and Permissions focus on the network aspects such as required ports and vCenter roles and permissions needed for Zerto
  • Comprehensive knowledge and expertise to manage and implement Zerto solutions, and skills in disaster recovery and virtual replication
  • Azure expertise in planning, implementing, and managing Azure networking solutions, including Core network infrastructure, Hybrid connectivity, Application delivery services, Private access to Azure services, Network security
  • Azure experience in virtualization, networking, identity, and storage
  • Understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, including: VMs, virtual networking, and virtual hard disks
  • Understanding of network configurations, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies
  • Understanding of Active Directory concepts, including users, groups, and role-based access control
