Overview: The New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Web Developer with a strong background in Magento development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Magento customization, UX optimization, and LMS integration. This role involves supporting and enhancing our existing e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless user experience, and integrating learning management systems. The candidate should also possess excellent technical communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Magento Development:Customize and extend Magento functionalities to meet specific project requirements.Optimize Magento sites to meet Google Core Web Vitals metrics.Perform regular maintenance, updates, and revisions on Magento platforms.Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways with Magento.User Experience (UX) Optimization:Implement UX/UI designs to enhance user interaction and improve the overall e-commerce experience.Conduct A/B testing and gather user feedback to continuously improve the checkout process.Ensure the design is mobile-optimized and intuitive for users.LMS Integration and Customization:Integrate Learning Management Systems (LMS) with Magento, ensuring seamless user data synchronization and single sign-on (SSO).Customize reporting tools to generate detailed insights and reports for business needs.Collaborate with the LMS team to develop and manage course content within the Magento platform.Technical Communication:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and project managers, to ensure project alignment and success.Provide technical support to staff members on Magento and LMS functionalities.
Qualifications:
Experience:Proven experience (6+ years) in Magento development, including customization and extension development.Strong background in PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.Experience with API integration and payment gateways on the Magento platform.Proficiency in UX/UI design and optimization.Experience with LMS integration and customization is highly desirable.Skills :Proficient in Magento Commerce, GraphQL, PWA, JavaScript, LAMP, Knockout.js, jQuery, MySQL, PHP, and API integration.Strong understanding of Google Core Web Vitals and performance optimization techniques.Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.Adobe Commerce Certified Developer or equivalent certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, etc.) and back-end technologies.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS for managing server infrastructure.Prior experience working in a remote team environment.
