Senior WordPress Website Designer

Tarlton Technologies is a nationwide empire of ultra-fast, SEO-first digital platforms from roadside assistance networks to enterprise-grade marketplaces and real estate tech. This is NOT a job for beginners. I am looking for a design assassin a senior-level WordPress designer who builds experiences , not pages. Someone who understands brand systems, scale, performance, and cinematic realism across thousands of pages. What you must bring to the table: We’re not training anyone. You must already be dangerous. 5+ years building WordPress sites from scratch , not editing themes although we will consider Kadence developers on a case by case basis. Mastery of Gutenberg, Generate Blocks, Cwicly , and modern block-based design. Ability to build layouts that feel cinematic, ultra-realistic, modern, fast Experience designing templates for large-scale platforms (hundreds/thousands of dynamic pages) Ability to create AI-driven hero images and visual systems (DALL·E, Midjourney, etc.) Deep understanding of UI/UX, hierarchy, typography, spacing Strong skills in ACF, CPTs, reusable templates, custom loops Comfortable with PHP tweaks, CSS Grid/Flexbox , responsive systems Experience with Wordpress and able to effectively log all work in Airable and GitHub Delivers work that is polished, mobile-checked, tablet-checked, widescreen-ready What you'll be doing: This is NOT a small site job. You’ll be building digital skyscrapers . Lead design across multiple brands under Tarlton.io Build landing pages, full websites, dynamic templates, UI systems Create cinematic hero images and page visuals using AI Rebuild outdated pages using modern UX/UI patterns Convert Figma or raw ideas into clean, scalable WordPress experiences Work directly with the founder and back-end team (no middle management) Optimize sites for speed, stability, search, and user experience Maintain consistent branding across multiple high-growth properties Bonus Points: (Puts you at the front of the line) Experience with SaaS dashboards, marketplace platforms, or enterprise systems You’ve built custom Figma → Gutenberg design systems You understand database-driven templates, APIs, and automation Experience with large content sites, directories, member systems, or vendor portals A portfolio full of clean, modern, conversion-focused pages This role is NOT for you if: You rely on Elementor, Divi, or drag-and-drop tools You need step-by-step instructions You struggle with spacing, flow, mobile optimization You think “good enough” is acceptable You can’t move fast and produce high-level work consistently We build nationwide platforms , not cookie-cutter starter sites.
