Job Title : Design & Estimation Engineer
Location : Thane, Maharashtra
Employment Type : Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer with expertise in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and Cleanroom projects. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of mechanical systems, cleanroom technology, and the ability to estimate project costs accurately. You will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, helping to develop competitive project proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand client needs, specify technical systems, and ensure pricing aligns with both profit margins and client budgets.
Review proposals, specifications, and drawings for cleanroom designs.
Attend pre-bid meetings to define the project scope and estimate requirements.
Research new cleanroom products to support estimates.
Use subcontractor and vendor data to develop project estimates.
Incorporate historical data and productivity reports into project estimates.
Collaborate with contractors to provide engineering and cost data for bids.
Develop cost estimates, prepare shop drawings, and manage submittals.
Estimate costs for extra work, change orders, and material procurement.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project staff.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
At least 4 years of experience in estimation, specifically in HVAC and cleanroom projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, cleanroom technology, and construction processes.
Proficiency in estimation software.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
