Meet Our Team:

Pega's , Machine Learning tribe involves developing NLP & NLG services which provides decisions for chat, voice to text and email bots using models built on customer data. We work on deep learning models, training & finetune transformer based algorithms like GPT to solve analytics & GenAI use cases. There are multiple teams that are engaged heavily in building Development Studios that will ease Data Scientists and Business Analysts to integrate Machine Learning Models into their business use cases and help them to build / monitor / update / simulate new models.Be a part of our vision where we change the way the world builds software.

Picture Yourself at Pega:

You will be working with a team of Data Scientists on revolutionize how Generative AI can be used to understand business requirements build and manage enterprise applications. You will understand and apply the patterns in LLMs like assistants, RAG, reasoning to build complex workflows, e.g., through chat interface.You would devise strategies on how to make the AI more deterministic. You would be a Python programming expert as well as an effective communicator who specializes in communicating complex ideas to business leadership.

What You'll Do at Pega:

Understanding new business requirements related to NLG/Generative AI and researching into necessary tools and technologies (Python)Understand transformer models landscape including GPT (which model is good at what)Knowledge of prompt engineering with common models like ChatGPT etc.Ability to fine tune transformer models from Huggingface with client dataUnderstand how LLMs call functions to perform tasksUnderstanding patterns in Gen AI like embedding models, RAG, Agents. Code interpreter, ReasoningKnowledge in Java is preferred but not mandatoryLooking at gaps in technology space and providing solutions to fill the sameKeeping abreast of newer technologies in the NLP spaceUnderstanding how to work with multiple languagesImplementation of text analytics algorithms (Machine Learning / Deep Learning / Shallow Learning)Research into feature engineering and bring in best practicesPrototyping of solutions and benchmarking for performance and accuracy (Boosting / Bagging / Treatments)

Who You Are:

6 years of relevant data science/NLP/NLG experience or specialization in text analytics and machine learning.2 years of experience in transformers models and GPTStrong knowledge of machine learning fundamentalsStrong knowledge of Python and Python based ML librariesKnowledge in non NLP data science algorithms is preferred.Good understanding and experience in text analytics including linguistic and statistical algorithmsStrong maths and statistic proficiencyExperience in using algorithms like Naïve Bayes, Maximum Entropy, SVM, Logistic Regression, Neural Networks, Transformers, GPT, BERT etc.Experience in semantic technologiesExperience in building/using Rules engines using algorithms like RETEGood Communication skills

Leading the research and development of core algorithms in Text Analytics using Linguistic, Statistical and Semantic technologiesBuilding domain specific NLP models that will be adopted by Financial / Telco / Health Science spaceFine tuned LLMBuild a RAG system using Cloud and open source modelsUtilize LLM to perform work sense /understand business intentsTried building agents to perform tasks through reasoning#LI-MC3
