Role Overview: Seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Engineer for New Part Development for Automotive OEMs. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and introduction of new automotive parts, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, and implementation of new parts and components for automotive OEMs.
  • In-depth knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) to manage and drive the successful execution of the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process for new parts.
  • In-depth knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). Ensure compliance with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and coordinate the necessary documentation and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality departments to ensure seamless development of new parts.
  • Troubleshoot design issues and drive continuous improvement in part design and production.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility and manufacturability of the new parts while meeting the automotive industry standards.
  • Oversee testing procedures for new parts to verify that they meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of test plans, trials, validation activities and review test results, identify any performance gaps, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain strong communication with OEM customers to address any concerns and ensure alignment throughout the development process.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of automotive industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with both internal teams and OEM customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive part development and APQP/PPAP processes.
  • Familiarity with design tools, production methods, and quality control processes.
